Let’s get quizzical

Everyone loves a good table quiz. This week try the Movie and TV Quiz Thing in The Gin Palace. Strictly no cheaters. Teams of 4 or 5, entry €10 per person.

DCU Rag Week

The stranger the event the better, and well DCU have really raised the bar on strangeness with this one.

As part of RAG Week, they’ve arranged an ‘Underwear Mile’. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of €25 and then strip and jog in their pants. Well, whatever tickles your fancy.

The 50 highest fundraisers will win a pair of commemorative boxer shorts. Email DCURAG@gmail.com for a sponsorship card.

On your bike

The fundraising efforts have been phenomenal since the launch of this campaign. We’ve had nights out, tables quizzes, head-shavings, bingo and now a cyclethon in Temple Bar!

From Monday October 10th – Thursday October 13th Sean Hughes will cycle from midday to midnight in a bid to raise €5,000 for the treatment fund. Pop along to show your support!

Cycling for Sean

Where? Temple Bar

When? October 10th -13th

“Since I have known Seán he has been nothing but a truly great friend of mine. Last year when I was in hospital Seán would be in everyday to see how I was and to put a smile on my face with his terrible goofy jokes during the rough time that I had. Now it is time to give back what he gave to me!

I will be cycling on an exercise bike in Temple Bar square for 12 hours a day for 4 days 12.00pm-00.00am in the hope that I could raise over 5,000 euro for Seán. If you could come along for 1 day for support it would really mean so much” – Sean Hughes
